Froilan Canlas earned another standing ovation from the judges after performing his final song on Tawag Ng Tanghalan Quarter 4 Semifinal Rounds.
In an episode aired on Saturday, Canlas blew the audience away with his own rendition of Light and Shade by Fra Lippo Lippi. The judges gave him a standing ovation for his performance.

Judge Ogie Alcasid said,” You are like an artist. Starting from a clean canvas you turn into a beautiful painting. Like ‘Light and Shade’- a pop song which you turned into an anthem. It became an Obra Maestra. You are an artist.” Alcasid then said it would be an injustice if Canlas will not enter the finals.
Before the end of the show, scores revealed that fellow contestant Sam Mangubat received the highest spot with 95.35 percent, followed by the blind singer Carl Malone in the second spot with 78.85 percent.
Canlas received the highest score from the judges with 96.4 percent and 72.61 public text votes, placing him in third place.
Meanwhile, it was also announced that Canlas will return for the wildcard round, “Ultimate Resbak”, with 13 other contenders to earn a slot in the grand finals.
