Francis Concepcion Jr. from Zamboanga is still the defending champion of It’s Showtime’s singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids.”
In an episode aired Monday, May 15, Francis defeated daily winner Jezza Mae Quioge from Metro Manila with his performance of “Basang Basa Sa Ulan” by Filipino rock band “Aegis.”
After the judges deliberation, Concepcion received a total average of 94.6 percent, while Quioge received 91.0 percent for singing “Dadalhin” by Regine Velasquez.
Francis took home a total of P110,000 and will return on Tawag Ng Tanghalan stage on Tuesday to defend his fifth win.
