Francis Concepcion successfully defended his title on Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He is the latest contestant to enter the semifinal rounds of the competition.
The 10-year-old singer from Zamboanga belted out his version of “Sayang Na Sayang,” a song popularized by all-female pop rock band Aegis.
He earned a total of 95.6 percent from the judges votes and defeated daily winner Marianne Matugas from Quezon who sang her own rendition of “I Surrender” by Celine Dion.
Concepcion received a total of P135,000 for his 5-day reign as champion.
On Wednesday, four contestants will compete for the next daily winner and defending champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids.
