Pinay Anjelica Santillan is the First to be Eliminated from Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5


Filipina contestant Anjelica Santillan is the first to be eliminated from the fifth cycle of “Asia’s Next Top Model.”

In a premiere episode aired on Wednesday, Santillan received the lowest score during a combined photo shoot and challenge.

Anjelica said that she’s disappointed for being the first contestant to leave the competition. “I’m really disappointed in myself, as I wanted to do this for my mom. And I did want to be the first Filipina to win this,” she said.

The former volleyball player also took to Instagram and wrote: “And it’s out that I’m out! Ouch, that was fast. But let’s keep supporting Team Philippines.”

Other Filipina Jennica Sanchez and Maureen Wroblewitz, finished in eight runner-up and second runner-up, respectively while Valerie Krasnadewi of Indonesia was first.
