WATCH: Kiefer Ravena Finally Speaks Over Private Photo Scandal

Filipino basketball player Kiefer Ravena finally broke his silence after his arrival in the United States over the alleged photo scandal that spread in social media for the past weekend.

According to the ex-Ateneo Blue Eagles star, a certain Kristoffer Monico Ng was arrested by the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group in an entrapment operation for threatening to extort money from them.

“Today, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group conducted an entrapment operation on Kristoffer Monico Ng, who threatened to ‘leak’ photos and tried to extort money from us,” Ravena said.

He also added that he was a victim of online extortion by the man who pretended to be a woman and promised to take down the posts in exchange for money.

The 23-year-old ravena also admitted learning a lot from the recent controversy.

“Siguro hindi lang doble ingat, kailangan tripleng ingat talaga. Hindi natin alam, may mga tao talagang ganyan. So siguro sa lesson kong ito, kailangan lang talaga mag-ingat lalo na sa mundo ng social media,” he said.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old suspect was arrested at around 12:20 p.m. in Eastwood in Libis, Quezon City. He is now detained in the PNP ACG facility on charges of robbery and extortion.
